Overview: Afghanistan 1879. Army Captain, Edward Merriman – the Great Grandson of Admiral Sir James Merriman – is fighting for his life. A very satisfying read. The writing style is very engaging. It’s easy to follow but still has a lot of depth. Would probably read it again at some point.
