Overview: Mellan 1996 och 2004 gillrade infiltratören Max fällor åt mc-gäng, rånare och knarkhandlare. Hans uppdragsgivare var den nu dömde och avskedade kommissarien Olle Liljegren vid Stockholmspolisen. Max hemliga uppdrag avslöjades när en operation gick snett. I en infiltration av en kokainliga i Eskilstuna hade Max gett sig för långt in i narkotikaaffärerna och fick sin telefon avlyssnad. När Eskilstunapoliserna även fick höra Olle Liljegrens röst i telefonsamtalen blev de chockade. Vad hade Stockholmskollegan för intressen i narkotikahanteringen? undrade de och informerade åklagarmyndigheten. Där beslutades att Max och Olle Liljegren skulle gripas. Under den fortsatta polisutredningen och i de följande rättegångarna kom fler och fler uppgifter fram om Stockholmspolisens okonventionella arbetsmetoder. Allt talar för att Olle Liljegren, med hjälp av Max, ägnat sig åt olaglig brottsprovokation. Men eftersom domstolen anser att arbetet varit sanktionerat uppifrån frias Liljegren till slut på nästan alla punkter. Max tvingas däremot avtjäna tre års fängelse. Trots rättegångarna har flera viktiga frågor ännu inte fått något svar. Hur mycket kände exempelvis polischefer som Leif Jennekvist, Gunno Gunnmo och Carin Götblad till? Hur kunde en ung, överambitiös polisman få så fritt spelrum? Varför har ingen av dem som dömdes i de regelvidriga operationerna fått chans till ny rättegång? Och vad betyder det för den svenska rättssäkerheten?

A solid read. It held my attention, even if a few things were a little predictable. Still a good book.

Not bad, but not my favorite. The pacing was a bit slow and I found myself skimming a few pages. It wasn't terrible, just okay. Just right down the middle.

Such a great read. It has a good balance of dialogue and description. Everything felt like it moved at the right speed. A solid 5/5 for me.
