Overview: Wisława Szymborska, tan reacia a hablar de su poesía, llevó durante años en la revista Vida Literaria lo que podríamos denominar un «consultorio de escritores», en el que entre líneas y con esa fina ironía presente en toda su obra, podemos entrever su particular concepto de la literatura.Este libro recoge las mejores respuestas de la premio Nobel polaca a aquellos escritores que pretendían debutar. La propia Szymborska definía así lo que hacían: «Es una vieja tradición de las revistas literarias. Siempre ha sido necesario responder a algunos autores, sobre todo principiantes, sin escribirles cartas directamente a ellos. Por regla general, se resolvía la cuestión con un breve “no se contempla” o “recomendamos trabajar un poco más el texto”. Consideramos que igual valía la pena en algunos casos justificar la decisión». Y continuaba: «Yo intentaba que entendieran cosas elementales, les animaba a que reflexionaran sobre el texto recién escrito, a que fueran mínimamente críticos consigo mismos. Y, lo más importante, los animaba a leer libros. Igual soy una ilusa, pero espero que algunos de ellos hayan conservado esa maravillosa costumbre toda la vida».

Really enjoyed this one. The pacing was spot on and the characters felt real. I didn't find myself getting bored at any point. A solid 5/5 for me.

Finished it in a couple of days. It has a good balance of dialogue and description. Everything felt like it moved at the right speed. Definitely recommend it if you like this genre.
