Overview: Icchokas Rudaševskis (Yitskhok Rudashevski, 1927–1943) – talentingas žydų paauglys, rašęs dienoraštį Vilniaus gete. Šis dienoraštis – neįkainojamas Holokausto atminties šaltinis – šiandien žinomas visame pasaulyje, tačiau iki šiol nebuvo išleistas lietuvių kalba. Icchokas gimė Vilniuje, kur iki karo su tėvais Rachele ir Eliju gyveno nuomojamame Pylimo g. 51 namo 4 bute. Tėvas dirbo vieno didžiausių miesto dienraščių „Vilner Tog“ („Vilniaus diena“) tipografu. Berniukas mokėsi Realinėje žydų gimnazijoje. Karo metais naciams okupavus kraštą, Icchokui tebuvo keturiolika. Kartu su tėvais, kaip ir kiti žydai, jis buvo išvarytas į Vilniaus senamiestyje įkurtą getą. Čia, puoselėdamas mintis apie gyvenimą ir kovą, Icchokas rašė dienoraštį savo gimtąja jidiš kalba.Jau po karo berniuko užrašus buvusioje slėptuvėje surado iš žudynių Paneriuose neįtikėtinai išsigelbėjusi jo bendraamžė pusseserė Sorė Vološin. Took me a few chapters to get into it, but it was worth it. Writing is good, just wish there was a bit more depth in certain parts. Still kept my attention though. Not bad at all.
