Overview: In Habitations of Modernity , Dipesh Chakrabarty explores the complexities of modernism in India and seeks principles of humaneness grounded in everyday life that may elude grand political theories. I was pleasantly surprised. The author did a great job wrapping everything up at the end. No weird plot holes left behind. Would probably read it again at some point.

Honestly one of the better books I've read lately. The writing style is very engaging. It’s easy to follow but still has a lot of depth. A solid 5/5 for me.

Really enjoyed this one. It has a good balance of dialogue and description. Everything felt like it moved at the right speed. Definitely recommend it if you like this genre.

Finished it in a couple of days. I got really invested in the main character's journey. Everything just clicked for me. A solid 5/5 for me.
