Overview: We talk often about being “seen” in literature, but “Who’s Irish” was the first time I heard a narrative voice that sounded like the ones I’d grown up with: “I am work hard all my life, and fierce besides.” By the time I finished reading, my idea of short stories had expanded — not just in terms of who could be the focus of a story, but who could tell it, what they were allowed to say, and what they were allowed to sound like. - Celeste Ng --- About the Guest Editor: Celeste Ng’s latest novel, Little Fires Everywhere, was recently published by Penguin Press. Glad someone recommended this to me. The author did a great job wrapping everything up at the end. No weird plot holes left behind. Would probably read it again at some point.

Took me a few chapters to get into it, but it was worth it. Interesting premise and executed fairly well. Just a few slow chapters here and there. I'd probably recommend it to a friend.

I have mixed feelings about this one. Some parts were interesting, while others were a bit of a slog to get through. Probably won't read it again, but it was an okay way to pass the time.
