Overview: Oparta na faktach powieść graficzna amerykańskiego „weterana” komiksu Joe Kuberta o konflikcie w byłej Jugosławii.Ervin Rustemagić, europejski agent Kuberta, na początku lat 90. wraz z rodziną mieszkał na przedmieściach Sarajewa. Gdy wybuchła wojna i zniszczono ich dom, przenieśli się do hotelu dla dziennikarzy w centrum Sarajewa. Po 1,5 roku oblężenia i ostrzału Rustemagiciom, dzięki pomocy artystów i dziennikarzy, udało się zdobyć słoweńskie obywatelstwo i uciec z miasta. Tytułowy faks okazał się jedyną możliwością komunikacji z przyjaciółmi i klientami Rustemagicia. Wśród nich był Kubert, gwiazda DC Comics, autor m.in. postaci Hawkmana. Kubert zebrał faksy swojego agenta i na ich podstawie stworzył wciągającą opowieść o wojnie bałkańskiej.„Faks z Sarajewa” okazał się sukcesem artystycznym, został ogłoszony komiksem roku przez „The Washington Times” i nagrodzony m.in. Eisner Award i Harvey Award jako najlepsza powieść graficzna 1996 roku.

Glad someone recommended this to me. It has a good balance of dialogue and description. Everything felt like it moved at the right speed. A solid 5/5 for me.

Really enjoyed this one. The author did a great job wrapping everything up at the end. No weird plot holes left behind. Worth the time and money.

I have mixed feelings about this one. The writing was fine, but I didn't feel very connected to the characters. They felt a bit flat. Might work better for someone else, just wasn't completely for me.

Really enjoyed this one. I loved how the story unfolded. It kept me guessing without being too confusing. Would probably read it again at some point.

Took me a few chapters to get into it, but it was worth it. Interesting premise and executed fairly well. Just a few slow chapters here and there. Still a good book.
