Nach einem Probebetrieb ab 1976 wurde die Wiener U-Bahn 1978 offiziell eroffnet. Das U-Bahn-Netz verfugt uber funf Linien und ging zum Teil aus Strecken der Wiener Stadtbahn hervor. Sie wird von der Verkehrsgesellschaft Wiener Linien GmbH & Co KG betrieben, die zur Wiener Stadtwerke AG gehort, welche sich ganzlich im Besitz der Stadt Wien befindet. Nach einer ungewohnlich langen Planung fur den Bau eines unterirdisch gefuhrten Schienenverkehrsmittels wurde Ende des 19. Honestly one of the better books I've read lately. The writing style is very engaging. It’s easy to follow but still has a lot of depth. A solid 5/5 for me.
