Overview: Bayburt yöresi, Türklerin Anadolu'ya ilk adım attıkları alanlardan biridir. 1054 yılında Tuğrul Bey tarafından fethedilen, ancak 1071 Malazgirt Meydan Savaşı sonrası tam olarak bir Türk yurdu olan Bayburt, 1514 Osmanlı egemenliğine kadar birçok Türk beylik ya da devletinin hakimiyetinde kaldı. Osmanlılar tarafından fethinden, Türkiye Cumhuriyeti'nin kuruluşuna kadar sürekli Erzurum Eyaleti-Vilayeti ile irtibatlı oldu. Erzurum Beylerbeyliğinin kuruluşu döneminde paşa sancağı yapıldı. Sonraki dönemlerde idari açıdan Erzurum Eyaletinin kazalarından biri oldu. 1877-1878 Osmanlı-Rus harbi, Bayburt tarihi açısından bir dönüm noktası oldu. Savaş sonrası ülkede yapılan yeni idari düzenleme ile Bayburt, bu dönemde sancak statüsünü elde etti. 1878 yılında başlayan bu statü 1888 yılına kadar devam etti ve bu tarihler arasında Kelkit, Şiran ve İspir kazaları Bayburt'tan idare edildi.

Finished it in a couple of days. The author did a great job wrapping everything up at the end. No weird plot holes left behind. Would probably read it again at some point.

Took me a few chapters to get into it, but it was worth it. It held my attention, even if a few things were a little predictable. I'd probably recommend it to a friend.
