Overview: While studying Chinese and Asian civilizations in college, Sabriye Tenberken was stunned to learn that in Tibet blind children were living in appalling conditions—shunned by society, abandoned, and left to their own devices. Honestly one of the better books I've read lately. It has a good balance of dialogue and description. Everything felt like it moved at the right speed. Definitely recommend it if you like this genre.

Glad someone recommended this to me. The writing style is very engaging. It’s easy to follow but still has a lot of depth. Worth the time and money.

I have mixed feelings about this one. The writing was fine, but I didn't feel very connected to the characters. They felt a bit flat. Might work better for someone else, just wasn't completely for me.

A solid read. The middle dragged a tiny bit, but the ending totally made up for it. I'd probably recommend it to a friend.
