Overview: Robert Markland had published a few short stories over the years but his career was going nowhere. Good, but not quite perfect. The middle dragged a tiny bit, but the ending totally made up for it. Not bad at all.

Glad someone recommended this to me. The pacing was spot on and the characters felt real. I didn't find myself getting bored at any point. Glad I picked this up.
