Overview: Il Centro Donna Salute Mentale di Trieste è un'emanazione al femminile di quell'esperienza post-manicomiale iniziata negli anni Settanta, proprio a Trieste, da Franco Basaglia e dai suoi collaboratori. Fabrizia Ramondino ha frequentato il Centro in due lunghi periodi nel corso del 1998 con l'intento di conoscere dall'interno la realtà quotidiana di questa microsocietà toccata dal dolore, ma anche dall'entusiasmo e dall'impegno umano. Honestly one of the better books I've read lately. It has a good balance of dialogue and description. Everything felt like it moved at the right speed. Worth the time and money.
