Overview: Polynesia, the mountains of south-central China, the coastal forest of Tanzania, New Zealand--all are breathtakingly beautiful sites with a crucial fact in common. They are four of the Earth's twenty-five "hotspots," geographical areas which, according to scientists and naturalists, are home to the world's greatest plant and animal diversity. Such a great read. The writing style is very engaging. It’s easy to follow but still has a lot of depth. Would probably read it again at some point.

Honestly one of the better books I've read lately. The author did a great job wrapping everything up at the end. No weird plot holes left behind. Worth the time and money.

Took me a few chapters to get into it, but it was worth it. The middle dragged a tiny bit, but the ending totally made up for it. A solid 4 stars from me.
