Overview: A rare sage, who renounced the world before completing 14 years of age and who attained Nirvikalpa Samadhi, the highest state of Yoga, before He was 20, his Holiness Abhinava Vidyatheertha Mahaswamigal was a renowned Jivanmukta and a scholar par excellence in Tarka and Vedanta. He adorned the sacred Sringeri Sarada Peetam and brought great glory to it during the 35 years of His pontificate as its 35th Jagadguru Shankaracharya. The very embodiment of compassion, the Acharya graced innumerable devotees in myriad ways. He had the knack of expounding the intricacies of the scriptures in an accurate and yet clearly-comprehensible manner. This books is an illustration of this. The Jagadguru had taught the Bhagavad Gita, Brahma Sutras and the Taittiriya Upanisad, with Sankara Bhagavatpadal’s Bhashyams thereon to His disciples. This book contains the sacred expositions of Jagadguru Sri Abhinava Vidyatheertha Mahaswamigal, compiled by a disciple. Some of the chapters of this book are based on His classes. On several occasions, the Jagadguru had explained scriptural passages and devotional verses, in private, to the disciple who compiled this book, either completely of His own accord or in response to the disciple’s queries. These rare teachings of the Jagadguru also figure in this book.

Glad someone recommended this to me. The author did a great job wrapping everything up at the end. No weird plot holes left behind. Definitely recommend it if you like this genre.
