Overview: Türkiye’nin ilk elektronik kitap yayınevi olan altKitap, edebiyat dünyasında her yıl daha çok ses getiren altKitap Öykü Ödülü’nün altıncısını 2013 baharında düzenledi. altKitap 2013 Öykü Ödülü’ne 341 öykü başvurdu; bunlardan 38’i ön değerlendirmeden geçti. Ön değerlendirmeyi geçen öyküler arasından Birincilik Ödülü Farkındalık adlı öyküsüyle Sanem Bozkurt’un; İkincilik Ödülü Bünyamin’in Düşüşü adlı öyküsüyle Gökhan Sarı’nın ve Üçüncülük Ödülü Pis Adam adlı öyküsüyle Özcan Yılmaz’ın oldu. Bu yılki birincilik ödülü Vodafone Smart Tab II 23 Mayıs’ta Tophane’deki çağdaş sanat mekanı MIXER’de gerçekleştirilen ödül töreninde Sanem Bozkurt’a takdim edildi. Aynı zamanda altKitap’ın yayın kurulunu da oluşturan Özge Calafato, Hande Ortaç, Aylin Sökmen ve Engin Türkgeldi’nin Ön Değerlendirme Kurulu olarak görev aldığı altKitap Öykü Ödülü’nde nihai kararı Hakan Bıçakcı, Hakan Günday, Ece Temelkuran, Aslı Tohumcu ve Cem Uçan’dan oluşan Seçici Kurul belirledi. Seçici Kurul ön değerlendirmeyi geçen öyküler arasından, dereceye giren ilk üç öykü de dahil, 12 öykünün altKitap 2013 Öykü Seçkisi’nde yer almasına karar verdi. altKitap 2013 Öykü Seçkisi de bu şekilde oluştu. altKitap kurulduğu 2000 yılından bu yana, izlediği yenilikçi ve özgürlükçü yayın politikasıyla Türkiye’nin edebi ve düşünsel mirasına farklı bir soluk getirdi. Yaratıcı ve özgün içeriği ve tasarımıyla 13 yıldır İnternet üzerinden ücretsiz olarak e-kitap yayımlayan altKitap, Türkiye’deki çağdaş edebiyat üretimini hareketlendirme hedefini bir adım daha ileri götürerek 2006’da altKitap Öykü Ödülü’nü düzenlemeye başladı.
