Overview: Robert A. Heinlein is generally recognized as the most important American science fiction writer of the 20th century. This is the first detailed critical examination of his entire career. It is not a biography--that is being done in a two-volume work by William Patterson. Thomas D. Clareson writes contemporary fiction and has always been fascinated by character-driven stories. Not bad, but not my favorite. The writing was fine, but I didn't feel very connected to the characters. They felt a bit flat. Just right down the middle.

Finished it in a couple of days. The writing style is very engaging. It’s easy to follow but still has a lot of depth. Will be looking for more from this author.

An average read for me. The pacing was a bit slow and I found myself skimming a few pages. It wasn't terrible, just okay. Might work better for someone else, just wasn't completely for me.

I was pleasantly surprised. I got really invested in the main character's journey. Everything just clicked for me. Definitely recommend it if you like this genre.
