Overview: Honderd-nog-wat gedichten zonder gelegenheid, gekozen door @poëzieiseendaad‘Fris en verrassend, een verzameling oersterke verzen.’ Ellen DeckwitzOp het hoogtepunt van de pandemie startten Joost Oomen, Stefanie Liebreks en Yentl van Stokkum het instagramkanaal @poezieiseendaad. Sindsdien delen zij dagelijks hun liefde voor poëzie met een almaar groeiend aantal volgers. Binnen een jaar had het account 10000 volgers en inmiddels staat de teller op ruim 17000. De missie van Poëzie is een Daad: meer poëzie in ieders leven. Er is een gedicht voor elk moment, elke gelegenheid – niet alleen voor de gewichtige. Dus bijvoorbeeld ook voor als je op maandag al toe bent aan weekend, voor als het code rood is, als de verkiezingsuitslagen tegenvallen, als je al te lang ligt te scrollen op de bank, of voor die eerste dag dat je de lente kunt ruiken.Met de bloemlezing Voor alle dagen gaan Joost, Stefanie en Yentl van het (telefoon)scherm weer terug naar het papier, waar de gekozen gedichten oorspronkelijk vandaan komen. Voor de selectie putten ze uit alle uithoeken van de literatuur: van bekende Nederlandse en Vlaamse dichters die in een bloemlezing niet mogen ontbreken tot jonge dichters die hun debuut nog niet maakten, en van vertaalde grootheden tot obscure, inmiddels vergeten parels. Took me a few chapters to get into it, but it was worth it. I liked the main character, though some of the side plots were just okay. Still a good book.

Not bad, but not my favorite. The writing was fine, but I didn't feel very connected to the characters. They felt a bit flat. Probably won't read it again, but it was an okay way to pass the time.

I liked it for the most part. Writing is good, just wish there was a bit more depth in certain parts. Still kept my attention though. A solid 4 stars from me.
