Overview: Lucky Luke rencontre le capitaine Erasmus Mulligan qui a une troupe de cirque qui ont des problèmes avec une roue brisée. Luke aide la troupe et pour le remercier ils lui font une représentation du spectacle. Durant la représentation, ils se font attaquer par les indiens. Mais les indiens sont surpris quand ils voient l`éléphant. Ils assistent à une représentation du spectacle et tout cela se terminera en bagarre entre Luke et les indiens. Ensuite Luke veut aller à Fort Coyote car il y a un concours de rodéo. La troupe décide d`aller dans cette ville pour aller y présenté le spectacle. Lorsqu`ils arrivent en ville, ils font la rencontre de Corduroy Zilch, une personne très importante dans cette ville et en plus il s`occupe du rodéo. Un signe particulier de Zilch est qu`il a une dent en diamant. Zilch est pas content que la troupe soit en ville car cela peut nuire à son rodéo. Luke se joindra à la troupe pour les protéger de Zilch. Il essayera de leur faire du trouble en envoyant un bandit très redoutable du nom de Rattlesnake. Mais il ne réussira pas à déjouer Luke. Le shérif accepte qu`il y ait une seule représentation du spectacle. Durant la représentation, les indiens attaquent et ils détruiront le chapiteau. Les indiens ont attaqués la troupe en échange d`alcool fournit par Zilch. Zilch peut en fin faire son rodéo tranquille. Luke y participe et fait un malheur. La troupe y participe aussi mais d`une façon non-traditionnelle. Ils présentent leur spectacle durant le rodéo. En même temps, les indiens attaquent de nouveau dans l`arène du rodéo car ils sont furieux puisque Zilch n`a pas donné l`alcool comme convenue. Un imprésario qui était dans la salle a adoré ce qui c`est passé et engage la troupe et Zilch pour présenter leur spectacle en Europe. Luke repart vers de nouveau horizon en chantant.

Glad someone recommended this to me. The pacing was spot on and the characters felt real. I didn't find myself getting bored at any point. A solid 5/5 for me.

Finished it in a couple of days. It has a good balance of dialogue and description. Everything felt like it moved at the right speed. Would probably read it again at some point.

Good, but not quite perfect. The middle dragged a tiny bit, but the ending totally made up for it. Not bad at all.

It was just alright. The writing was fine, but I didn't feel very connected to the characters. They felt a bit flat. A generous 3 stars.

I have mixed feelings about this one. The pacing was a bit slow and I found myself skimming a few pages. It wasn't terrible, just okay. Might work better for someone else, just wasn't completely for me.
