Overview: Dit boek brengt twee uitgaven bijeen die in respectievelijk 2004 en 2006 zijn gepubliceerd - in exact dezelfde vormgeving. In 2004 verscheen "Wolken boven E" als eerste kennismaking door het Nederlandse publiek met de Russische dichter Boris Ryzji, die zijn korte leven (in 2001 pleegde hij, zesentwintig jaar oud, zelfmoord) heeft doorgebracht in de Oeral (Tsjeljabinsk, later Jekaterinboerg). Twee kaar later volgde "Rotterdams dagboek", een verslag van Ryzji's bezoek aan het Poetry International festival. Ryzji's gedichten, opgenomen in zowel het Russisch als het Nederlands, zijn zowel somber, doorleefd als muzikaal en fraai vertaald door Anne Stoffel. Aai Prins tekende voor de vertaling van "Rotterdams dagboek". De herdruk van Ryzji's werk betekent dat hij - terecht - zijn lezers in Nederland gevonden heeft. Finished it in a couple of days. I got really invested in the main character's journey. Everything just clicked for me. Definitely recommend it if you like this genre.

Took me a few chapters to get into it, but it was worth it. Interesting premise and executed fairly well. Just a few slow chapters here and there. Still a good book.

I liked it for the most part. It held my attention, even if a few things were a little predictable. Still a good book.
